Open Mindfulness Groups

After several difficult pandemic years, we are delighted to announce that in-person & group mindfulness sessions will resume in Halifax on the second Monday of each month at noon and in Dartmouth every Thursday at 4pm.

If you are not able to attend one of the in-person sessions, we continue to offer online group sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday.

With 4 time slots (2 in-person, and 2 on-line), we hope there is a time to meet everyone’s schedule!

We would love to see old and new faces at one or more of our mindfulness practice sessions.

If you have not recently participated in our group sessions, the benefits of guided
meditation in a group setting are of great value to all, and we encourage you to
reconnect with our sessions. Please pass the word and extend a personal invitation to your friends and family! Mindfulness is for everyone!

In-Person Practices:

1. 2nd Monday monthly (12-1pm), starting with January 8 – Halifax Shambala
Centre, 1085 Tower Road
2. Thursdays (4-5pm) – Community Health Centre, next to Sobeys in Tacoma Plaza
off Main St.

On-Line Zoom Practices (for the zoom classes, you can download Zoom.us for free
onto your computer, tablet or phone and you don’t have to set up an account):

Participation in these sessions is free and all are welcomed to join in!
You don’t have to register or communicate in advance, simply show up, and no previous experience with mindfulness is necessary.

The sessions include 15 to 20 minutes of mindfulness practice (some guided and some in silence), movement practice, another practice session and end with an open discussion.
