A workshop with David Rome and Hope Martin
September 7-9, 2018 at the Atlantic Contemplative Centre

Three contemplative practices to help you:
- Learn to listen to your body
- Reconnect with your heart
- Revitalize your meditation practice
- Bring your inherent wisdom into focus
- Deepen how you listen to others
Our bodies hold our lives. They hold wisdom and energy for living and growing. They also hold obstacles to living and growing – anxiety, painful emotions, constricting habitual patterns. The more we are able to live from deep within our bodies, relaxing conceptual grasping and trusting the body’s greater wisdom, the more vibrant and rewarding our lives and relationships with others become.
This workshop is highly experiential and includes periods of meditation, exploration of the felt sense, gentle hands-on bodywork, sharing together and humor.
Hope Martin has taught the Alexander Technique for 30 years, trains Alexander teachers at the American Center for the Alexander Technique and operates Hope Martin Studio in New York City.
David Rome is the developer of Mindful Focusing, an integration of Eugene Gendlin’s Felt-Sense Focusing and Buddhist mindfulness-awareness practices. He is the author of Your Body Knows the Answer; Using Your Felt Sense to Solve Problems, Effect Change, and Liberate Creativity (Shambhala, 2014)
Location: The Atantic Contemplative Centre, 5670 Spring Garden Road, Suite 902.
Cost: The workshop will cost $240 per person.
We will be sending out the link to register/pay for the workshop in July. If you are interested and would like to book a spot now, reply to director@accns.ca
