ACC Director receives award from Dalhousie School of Medicine

We are pleased to announce that Dr. David Whitehorn (PhD, MSN), Director of the Atlantic Contemplative Centre, has been awarded the R. Wayne Putnam Award for outstanding contributions to continuing professional development in the community by the Dalhousie University School of Medicine. The award, given annually, recognizes the work that Dave has been doing for the past two years to support mindfulness practice for the staff of the mental health and addictions program in the Annapolis Valley, as well his involvement with a provincial-wide initiative to provide access to up-to-date information about the early detection and treatment of psychosis.
